Looking for a dessert alternative? Try an espresso bar

Filled with the rich aromas of freshly ground beans and steamed milk, coffeehouses have been drawing creative thinkers and serving as a community gathering place for decades. Now, the coffeehouse culture is cropping up at some of our finest events, and guests are buzzing!

And for good reason. One of the main goals for any event is to delight guests and foster positive interaction, and what better way to do that than to feature a specialty coffee bar complete with an apron-clad barista, an array of  mugs and glasses, a beautiful espresso machine, grinders and a selection of toppings and flavorings. Guests can request their own custom made hot or iced coffee drink—lattes, cappuccinos, cortados, Americanos, espressos and more.

Adding an unexpected flourish, our baristas are creating dazzling foam art in the frothed milk that tops each drink. Hearts, flowers, four-leafed clovers, messages and even corporate logos appear magically in the steamy froth, never failing to impress.

Recently we offered an espresso bar in place of dessert. Rather than passively awaiting a slice of cake at their table, guests were encouraged to move about the space, making connections with people they hadn’t been seated with as they mulled over sophisticated options like an affogato (hot espresso poured over gelato) served in a martini glass, or hot apple cider with whipped cream and a cinnamon stick.

Instead of the usual carafe-wielding server chanting “decaf or regular,” dazzle your guests with an espresso bar!
