Serene Four Seasons Sanctuary Goes Hollywood Glam

Can a tranquil Four Seasons Oahu Ko Olina wedding chapel be revamped into a luxe den of Old Hollywood glamour? Why of course, dahling

We can even do it in three hours flat.

Blake Entertainment was tapped to transform the resort’s showpiece chapel into a 1920s Hollywood starlet’s palace.  Our team of 30 design and installation pros descended on the chapel to build “Beverlywood,” a glittering white and gold gallery fit for a Hollywood queen. In hyperspeed, a plush red carpet was unfurled through chapel doors flanked by life-sized Academy Award Oscar statues. These opened onto two long king’s tables draped to the floor in gold sequin cloth. Black chavari chairs were hung with strand upon strand of gleaming pearls. Low black vases holding creamy white orchids and hydrangeas and black ostrich feathers ran the length of each table, punctuated by enormous silver urns exploding with more feathers along the walls.

And the glam goes on: overhead, we filled and floated 800 gold and black balloons to kiss every square inch of the vaulted ceiling, their silver tails cascading down to form an arch above the room. Hundreds of yards of flowing white chiffon draped the entire space and made a sweeping backdrop for the centerpiece: a white wicker peacock chair throne for the birthday belle.

For this glamourous grande dame, it was pure Hollywood magic in virtually an instant—and the birthday celebration of a lifetime.
